I received this trench coat as my graduation-from-college gift from my parents when I graduated this past May and I absolutely treasure it - it's such a classic piece that will be a staple in my wardrobe forever. It was chilly in NYC over the weekend and I was so excited to have an excuse to break out my new coat a little earlier than expected.

Due to the fact that it has been 90-100 degrees in New York this week, my office has kept the AC on full blast. While I am so thankful that I have an oasis away from the heat, I am consistently finding that I need warm clothes with a summer twist. These J.Crew Collection capris do the trick. In a bright color like Celedon, these pants are perfect for summer and just thick enough to keep me warm in the office (not to mention they are comfortable enough to do yoga in).

Teal is my favorite color this summer. In this combo, the contrast between the lines in the skirt and the circles in the top made for a very fun day-outfit for touring around the city.

My cargo pants from J.Crew are one of my all-time favorite purchases, simply because of how versatile they are. Yesterday, I wore them with Keds and a t-shirt while apartment hunting around NYC with Kitty. To dress them up for an early dinner, I traded in my t-shirt for this silk top (found for $15.00 in an LA boutique) and switched in my red Keds for strappy snakeskin sandals. I rocked the red lip (Kardashian Beauty Joy Sticks are my new addiction) all day & night.

Electric Tribal

One of my latest trend obsessions is vintage broaches, especially when they are pinned in the center of a buttoned-up collar. For this look, I used a vintage necklace I found in Cape Cod to serve the purpose of a broach. I love the look of the classic vintage pearl jewel contrasting the modern and eye=popping print of the Collective Concepts dress.
