snap, crackle, jacket

Jacket & Pants Sam Edelman (Winter '14) | TShirt Alternative Apparel

This is my absolute favorite jacket/purchase from this winter. I bought it for New Year's Eve but find myself wearing it

LITERALLY all the time. The crackle pattern is a really fun way to bring a new life and look to the (very unvarying,
especially in Manhattan) black moto jacket. Paired with black pants like these velvet ones for winter and white jeans for summer,
this jacket really can be an everyday closet staple.

Dress Tracy Reese (sample sale find!) | Shirt Anne Fontaine | Shoes JCrew | Jacket Zara

This dress is one of my favorite finds from NYC sample sale season last year - from Tracy Reese. While it has a beautiful pattern, it still feels almost like a "neutral" to me - with endless outfit possibilities. Layering is the best way to move a piece of clothing from one season to the next, and this dress has unlimited pairing potential for just about any season.

spring showers

Hat TopShop | Vest Club Monaco  | Pants H&M Fall 14 Collection | Jewels JCrew | Booties Dolce Vita

Spring is almost here - and while we are in the midst of April showers I can't help but get overexcited about coming wardrobe changes (no more down coats and swaths taking place of what could have been a great outfit). It's back to vests, sweaters, blazers and the more-than-occasional trench for me and I couldn't be happier about it.

boyfriend jackets

Jacket (Mens)AllSaints | Sweatshirt with Hood (old) Aritzia | Jeans Joes Jeans via Nordstrom | Boots MeeToo
The best part about having a boyfriend who dresses well is getting to steal his clothes - especially when they have creamy suede moto-jackets from AllSaints. Yum. xo

seeing blue

Dress Nasty Gal | Sunglasses Wildfox | Shoes Circus by Sam Edelman

The snow is finally melting in New York City and the first thing on my mind instead of how many layers I can pile on my body is SUNGLASSES. I am literally in love with these Wildfox sunnies with blue mirrored lenses - they add the perfect pop of color to my usual all-black winter uniform. In the past, I've strictly been a Ray-Ban aviator's type girl but I feel like this spring is going to be the Season of the Sunnies and I couldn't be more excited to expand my spectacle-horizons.
