A lighter clothing palette comes with the warmer weather in NYC and I'm obsessed with mixing pastels and metallics for the ultimate color/texture/life combo. Currently, I'm battling the warm-outside-but=subzero-temperatures-in-the-office situation and this outfit works to fulfill my summertime wardrobe desires while keeping me alive and functioning at work.

orange is the new

I found this skirt while sifting through T.J.Maxx on a rainy weekend day a few weeks ago (SCORE!).

Orange is my favorite color (most of the time) and I just felt like this skirt couldn't help but 

brighten up anyones day who saw it on the street. My favorite part of the outfit is the spots 

of turquoise jewelry that are so amazing in contrast with the orange color of the skirt.

This caftan was lurking in the window of H&M below my office in NYC. I walked past it too many times and everytime I heard it calling my name. As I mentioned earlier, palm prints are my "print" of choice this season and I really, truly, honestly can't get enough of it.

Throwing a long white button down underneath just about anything makes sense in my book. To me, the trick is buying your shirts in size Tall, to get the perfect oversized-yet-fitted shirt (so long as you don't mind a longer sleeve).
