NYC Summer Streets could not be more fun. Kitty and I watched the shutdown streets in SOHO from a window of a local restaurant while we feasted on Veggie Sandwiches, Chips and Cucumber Lemonade. You cannot escape delicious food in New York and its beginning to have a seriouslyyyy negative effect on my bank account - but hey, at least I wont be hungry.

You mean you've never seen a fabric that you were in love with and wanted to pose in front of it? Kitty and I are starting to get busy decorating the new apartment and with that comes picking out fabrics for my sewing-machine savvy mother to use to create pillows, curtains, etc. Its a long process but it is so much fun to have a one-of-a-kind DIY space that we can call our own.

A few days ago I did a street-style photoshoot with Anne Fontaine for their Fall/Winter 2013 collection. I had so much fun shooting in SOHO with the team and after an entire day of shooting we ended up with over 1,000 photos (I have just a few blisters but it was well worth it!). Weekend Getaway

I had a short but sweet visit to the beach this weekend to see my family. It was great to relax and get away from the city for the first time in a few months. I absolutely love to spend time with my family...and while they were reluctant, somehow  I managed to get a few snapshots of them from the weekend. Meet my brothers - one biological, one canine and the other pretty much family. Love you boys. xx

Weekend Bucket List

I am off to spend the weekend with family at the beach. I’ll be bringing with me the first two September issue magazines I found on the newsstands: Glamour & Lucky. I have a magazine hoarding problem and during the month of August I am up to my head in September issues because I refuse to miss out on any of them. Read about S.I. cover stars here and how these ever-important issues are created here.

One thing I will be doing while on vacation will be shopping at C.Wonder to take advantage of their free monogramming offer (now through 8/8). As Reese Witherspoon says, "My sheets are monogrammed, so is my silverware and pretty much everything else I own. My rule is, if it's not moving, monogram it.” I couldn’t agree more. I’ll be looking to purchase this monogram cheese board for entertaining in our new apartment and this jewelry box for my new bedroom.

I love a good cocktail hour while on vacation and after seeing these Rose Lime wine coolers by new company Pampelonne, I know what I will be drinking this weekend. How perfect are these adorably packaged and individually sized beverages for a summer night?

Being that I am on a beach-weekend getaway, bathing suits are on the brain. I just found out about Ete swimwear and I am obsesssssssed with their bow bikinis. I want one in every color.

I'll be spending my down time watching short fashion films by Luca Guadignino and his production company Frenesy – they are creative geniuses and capture the fashion world in a truly original and glamorous way.

And lastly, because I am on one of my only vacations of the summer I’ll be thinking, “That’s what life is all about. Let’s have a party. Let’s have it tonight.” – Lilly Pulitzer

Behind the Scenes

When I was younger I always wanted my own "Diary of..." show on MTV. It was only when I got a bit older that I realized I'm not a celebrity & therefore this dream would never be realized (slash the show got cancelled? Moot point.) Here is my grown-up, non-celebrity version of "Diary of" with some behind the scenes shots of MMS/photography 101 with Kitty.

Kitty's outfits deserve recognition too considering she always looks faboosh (new word I've invented- feel free to use & give me street cred...also don't let this go to your head, Kate).
